Hey Everybody!
I hope all is well in everybody’s lives. Are you getting a lot done? I am.
I just wanted to make a few announcements and share some things with you.
Above is a photo of Jason Lind and I working on the set of a Sci Fi film. Can you tell we play badasses? Yep, we’re cool.
I’ve been super busy working on some films and a couple new websites and that’s why I haven’t been around posting on my blogs lately. I’ve missed the discussions. Right now I’m in the middle of editing Sacramori’s debut Music video. I collaborated on everything from the concept to set design and building and every process of filming. It’s turning out better than I could have imagined. You can look for a release of the single and a preview of the music video within a couple months.
I’ve also just launched another diet blog. So I’ll be adding a link to the home page. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here.
My next product launch is up and coming. I’m still working on designing the website, but the veeeeery basics are online at 20minuteslim.com . There is a lot to do to the site before it launches officially, but you all deserve a sneak peak.
It’s a workout product that shows you step by step how to build muscle and burn fat with just two 20 minute workouts per week. If you’re just looking to tone up or lose a few pounds or maybe your just tired of your current plan, this plan will save you loads of time and get you awesome results.
There is a ton of stuff up and coming, so check back often for more updates and some new videos by me!
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
The Vice President of Awesome

Imprint Released on DVD
by RMH on , under Film Making
For those of you who don’t yet know, Imprint has been released nationwide on dvd. This is a local movie filmed in the Black Hills, Badlands and plains of South Dakota. It is a Thriller set in a home on the Reservation. This movie starts out fast and keeps your heart pumping all the way through.
I personally didn’t work on this film, but the guys who did worked their butts off to make it the best movie it could be, and it shows. This is an independent film with a Big Hollywood feel.
Here is just a sample:
The film is produced and directed by Michael Linn of Linn Productions.
You can rent it at your local Blockbuster, and I’m sure you can buy it through Linn Productions.
This is definitely worth a watch or two. I’ve seen a few times myself, and I can’t wait to watch the special features! Gotta Love DVD’s and their special features.
I hope you all get a chance to see the film, it truly is a great watch.
Sincerely,
The Vice President of Awesome

Our Dailies are Amazing!
by RMH on , under Film Making
I just saw the dailies from a film shoot we did the other day. It’s the same action movie I’ve been working on, and we have it looking amazing. Considering we are doing this for $0, this is some awesome footage. I just wanted everyone to have a chance to take a look at it.
By the way, if you’re in the Rapid City area, and you want to work on film projects, let me know. I’ve got some short films I’m working on, some spoof comedy sketches, and I’m revising a feature script that is extremely promising.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m the big foolish looking guy who is dressed like a thug at a funeral at the end.
Enjoy,
Sincerely,

Prodigal Trailer
by RMH on , under Film Making
Hey Everybody,
I just put the trailer for the movie “Prodigal” online. I’m writing the script with the director Dave Hof, and we are doing some pretty exciting things with the film. We have shot several scenes, but due to a schedule conflict, we just started rewriting today. I hope it will only help the film become even better.
We have a fantastic cast and hardworking crew, and we have some really intense action in the film. For now here’s a little taste of what’s to come:
Hope you enjoy it!

Discovery Channel
by RMH on , under Film Making
Hey Everybody,
As many of you know, last year Dave from Sonlight Films and I filmed a spoof of the popular Discovery Channel show Man vs. Wild. For those of you not familiar with the show, it’s a reality style show where Bear Gryll’s is placed into a harsh environment with no food and limited supplies, and is forced to survive using whatever he can find along the way. He has been to some pretty nasty places and has eaten some pretty nasty things.
It was an absolute blast to film this, and I’m really pleased with the way it turned out. We had some great stunt, that were only included in the long version, and unfortunately, a few bumps and bruises. It’s pretty scary to fall down a hill with a couple thousand dollars in camera equipment.
Dave got cut up, and I got a messed up knee, but it’s been getting better over the last year or so.
All in all, it was a great experience, and almost everything was completely ad-lib. None of it was scripted. We just brought props and had fun, and the Discovery Channel loved it. They said the location was amazing-hence Bear coming out and filming in some of the same spots-and they said the timing was great. So they bought it. It never aired, as You Spoof Discovery 2.0 was put on hold indefinitely. I don’t know why.
If they run another contest, you can be sure that we’ll be putting out another episode.
For now, Enjoy.

Movie Stunts
by RMH on , under Film Making
So I just got done talking with one of the stuntmen who will be helping us film the movie Prodigal. His name is Jimmy B. and he lives in Canada, but he’s going to fly down to Rapid City to do some driving for us, and I’m going to be putting together some of the materials he needs to set up a 70 foot high fall.
It’s funny because he seems so nonchalant about the fall, just another day at work/fun for him, but when I think of falling 70 feet, it sounds like a nightmare…nothing more. We’ll be filming the actual stunts next year, but for now, I’m just excited to see it. We have a massive car chase and a huge roof top fight scene planned, not to mention..A 70 FOOT HIGH FALL. That just sounds ridiculous, but I’m still excited.
This is a pretty big deal for a low budget independent film. We’re all super grateful for the help he’s been giving us with fight choreography and safety advice.
If you want to know more about stunts or more about Jimmy B, hop on over to his website at jimmybroyden.com
Be sure to look for footage of Prodigal to be released soon.

Prodigal
by RMH on , under Film Making
I am currently working on a local independent action film with the working title “Prodigal.” The film stars myself and several martial artists from the local dojos. We have hard core, “REAL,” martial arts action, and some amazing car chases planned.
As of right now, filming is finished through half of the first act, and it’s looking amazing. This film looks and feels like a big budget movie, and we’re working with some amazing people to make sure it comes out nice and polished.
The mastermind behind the action is Dave Hof, from Sonlight Films. I’ve been working with him for about 5 years doing small independent stuff, screen testing, and short films. One of our comedy shorts, a spoof on the show Man vs. Wild, was purchased by the discovery channel!
I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in all aspects of this film, from the day the idea hatched, to helping write the screenplay and set up stunts, even helping with filming and lighting. It’s an absolute blast to make, and I hope that anyone who watches it will enjoy the action.
Here is a trailer where I, guy with the horrible long hair, try to collect money from two very large deadbeats. As you can see, I am not good at fighting, but very good at getting beat up.
Hope you enjoy it.
